Teresa Saia’s dry pigment pastel and oil paintings bathe in an abundance of light and color. The mood and emotions conveyed in her paintings evoke a deep sense of the mysterious and romantic. Her work captures the dramatic light as it penetrates the sky, the land, and reflects off water at dusk or in the early dawn. Her paintings explore worlds she has discovered in her many travels to Italy and France, as well as the beauty she finds around her home on Whidbey Island and the Pacific Northwest.
