KATHRINE LEIGH HOLLEY - painter

Katy Holley is an artist working primarily in oil painting, with a strong drive to portray the quiet beauty of the everyday. Across all subjects she aims to represent the transient moments through light and atmosphere. Katy is frequently inspired by her beautiful family and the gorgeous local landscape of her home on Whidbey Island.

Katy states, “I began oil painting when I was 12, under the instruction of a classically trained artist. I had the privilege to learn with my teacher for several years until her health declined. I attended Columbus College of Art and Design for three years- though I left the program due to finances. I have relentlessly pursued painting ever since, striving to find a balance while raising my family. I paint nearly every night after my children are in bed, and can be found in my little home studio, listening to a favorite audiobook or podcast.”
